CHESTER, Calif., February 16, 2017 – Several of the trails in the Jonesville-Butte Meadows Snowmobile Area have been compromised by heavy rain and snow. Water is tunneling beneath the snow, making it unsafe to groom the trails where this is occurring. Additionally, smaller creeks are overflowing their banks, making travel across them difficult. Visitors should use caution if snowmobiling across these areas. Grooming will resume when conditions are more favorable. Additional grooming information may be found on the Lassen National Forest home page and at www.hillsliders.com
