10 Days of Adventure Sports and Community Events Kicks Off Friday in North Lake Tahoe

Kings Beach Ca, June 16, 2016 – Adventure junkies unite! Ok maybe that is a little too narrow, in reality if you like to join other like minded people that enjoy adventure sports such as Trail Running, Mountain Bike Riding, Triathlons, etc then this week in for you in North Lake Tahoe.  Adventure Sports Week Tahoe is a 10 day event featuring human powered sports, music, film, and fun for all.  Come join us and celebrate our adventure lifestyle here in the heart of the sierra.
Trail Running, Triathlon, Mountain Biking competitive events to choose from.  Concerts, film, clinics, gear demos, and more. These ten days in June have events for everyone. Come challenge yourself during the day in one of the many competitive events, and relax during the afternoon with the Summer Concerts at Commons Beach or the Tahoe City Wine Walk. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to visit Lake Tahoe.
 

ASW Tahoe has a variety of competitive events designed for the very beginner to professional athlete. Below is a description of each. Click on the link to find more information.

Lake Tahoe Mountain Bike Race – June 18th

Lake Tahoe 4 & 8 Hour Mountain Bike Race
Race in the 4 or 8 hour race as a solo or on a team of 2, 3, 4 (teams of 3 and 4 apply to the 8hr race only). The course is approximately 12 miles and a mix of single track and fire-road. The most laps wins!

Burton Creek Trail Run – June 19th

Tahoe Trail Running logo
5K, 10K, and 1/2 Marathon Distance available. The Burton Creek Trail Run takes place on a beautiful, fun and challenging trail system within Burton Creek State Park. Demo the latest in Salomon Trail Running Shoes and try the Big Blue BBQ.

Run To Squaw, June 26th


The course distance is approximately 7.88 miles. The run is primarily held on the Truckee River Trail which is paved. The start is at Commons Beach in Tahoe City.
