Alpine Meadows Host Far West open League Giant Slalom Jan 4th

Do you want to race? Feeling that competitive itch? Ever just wanted to watch a live ski race? Here is your opportunity.  Open league racing at Alpine Meadows Sunday Jan.4th 2014.
Giant slalom race for Far West Racing Association or open league member. If you are interested in participating, please visit www.fwra.com or www.olrc.org.
Here is some additional information we downloaded from the Open League website to help explain the program.

Open League provides recreational racing opportunities for adult and children skiers and boarders.

Located in Northern California, most races are held at Lake Tahoe resorts.
WANT TO TRY US OUT?
Anyone can attend a race as a Guest Racer.
For a $25 fee you can run our courses to see if racing is for you.
If you decide to join our league for the entire season your $25 is applied to your registration fee.
Race courses are designed for all ability levels, from beginning skiers and snowboarders
to accomplished former college racers.  Currently there are 11 ability levels
and each ability level may have up to four age groups as shown:

Junior: younger than 18
Open: 18 to 49
Veteran: 50 to 64
Super-Vet: 65+
All league racers must belong to an Open League Club affiliated with the
Bay Area Council of Ski Clubs and the Far West Ski Association.
