Sierra Rec Magazine Gear Review – 2022 – Hey guys, Charlie, Sierra Rec Magazine. Today we get the luxury here on a beautiful sunny afternoon to bring you a new product that I am trying out by Think Tank. If you don’t know who Think Tank is, they’ve been around for a while. They do make canvas custom bags for photographers for some time, but they just came with a brand new travel bag called the Retrospective 75. The ThinkTank Retrospective duffle is a beautiful bag.
And, to be upfront with it, they sent this back to me for free, so would I do a review, but as you know, I do authentic reviews on everything.
So this was my chance to take a look at this bag.
I do not often get products and the product immediately over-delivers on expectations. Wow, I expected something completely different.
So this travel bag is a heavy-duty canvas and stonewashed; apparently, they’re processed in small batches, so everything has a unique color. It has excellent highlights with leather and features a removable strap. It’s got about 50 liters capacity.
You know, I’ve been looking for a bag like this to travel with it in my car, a bag filled with all the items I typically need or forget on day trips. For example, I’m always missing my hat or a light jacket, my suntan lotion, etc. I’ve been looking for a bag to just put in the car and have all my gear for my day trips in the Sierra.
I’d pull over on the side road and do I have a hat, you know, different things like that, and may have forgotten on the trip. And to be honest with you, this bag is so nice. It will become my travel bag, and it’s not going in my truck full-time.
The Think Tank Retrospective Duffle Travel bag is perfect for putting your gear. for example, in the bag for me already, and I put things like my extra hammock and some straps. I got a hat cause I forgot mine. I got my raincoat and an extra shirt for after a hike I have clean socks. Plus, they have a little personal pouch on the side where you put smaller personal items. So I can put my bug spray and my suntan lotion in there. The ripstop interior looks like it will hold up well and the canvas seaming will hold up to the beating.
It’s going to become my new airplane bag for traveling. It’s such a good-looking piece. It’s much better than the ugly gym bags I use right now. The “Think Tank Retrospective bag” is a classic travel asset for any traveler, and on the first test, it is extremely impressive. So if you’re looking for a new travel bag or travel companion, or you want to look at their photography equipment, check them out online, thinktankphoto.com. All right, guys, have a good day. Great adventures as something.
The Retrospective Duffel 75 is the perfect back road traveling companion.
