One of the Sierra’s Iconic Community Celebrations, Carson Valley Days Kicks off June 9th
Carson Valley NV, June 2016 – The Sierra is home dozens of great community festivals throughout the summer. One of the most Iconic and long lasting celebrations is Carson Valley Days in Gardnerville / Minden Nevada. Located at the Base of the Sierra just below South Lake Tahoe and Just South of Carson City,Carson Valley days is located in one of the most beautiful settings on the Eastern Slopes of the Sierra.
For 106 years, the community has gone all out to bring visitors to the Carson Valley from all over Western Nevada and from the visitors to the Sierra Mountains. The Carson Valley, once tagged as the base camp to the Sierra in a local marketing campaign, is a great place to stay anytime your heading to the Sierra to play. However, the Carson Valley Days celebration is not one to miss. Fun for all ages and one of the best community parades around the country in ur opinion.
Parades, Carnivals, Car Shows, 3 on 3 basketball tournaments, greased pole competitions, carnival food, craft shows and great music. All the great local summer attractions that make summer festivals great family events.

If you’re heading to Lake Tahoe or the Eastern Sierra this week to camp or recreate the Carson Valley Days is a great place to break away in the evening and enjoy a great local community in the Sierra. The Parade on Saturday Morning does reroute traffic on HWY 395 also, so be prepared as the Parade stretches the length of both Minden and Gardnerville blocking traffic both ways on HWY 395 as residents and visitors line the streets to watch this great parade route.
