Lassen National Forest Almanor Ranger District to Host Moonlight Snowshoe Walk on Monday, February 22
CHESTER, Calif., February 21, 2015 – Lassen National Forest’s Almanor Ranger District will host a moonlight snowshoe walk on the full moon of Monday, February 22 at 6 pm at the Swain Snowmobile area.
Attendees must be at least eight years old, and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Snowshoes are available free of charge, but cross-country skiers must provide their own equipment.

This is the fifth guided outing of the season organized by the Almanor Ranger District. Another walk is scheduled for March 4. All programs require reservations.
Lassen National Forest lies at the Crossroads of California, where the granite of the Sierra Nevada, the lava of the Cascades and the Modoc Plateau, and the sagebrush of the Great Basin meet. The Forest is managed for recreational access as well as timber and firewood, forage for livestock, water, minerals, and other natural resources.
