Round Fire causes Evacuations in Near Bishop and the Sherwin Pass near HWY 395.

Location: Sherman Grade w/o Hwy 395 County: Inyo and Mono County                            
Acres: 7000 + % Containment:
Start Date & Time: February 6th 1407 Expected Containment: N/A
Injuries: 1 Firefighter due to Smoke Inhalation Structures Destroyed: 20 Structures and Outbuildings (preliminary count)
Cause: Under Investigation


Fire Engines: 47 Fire Crews: 29 Bulldozers: 2                                                             
Airtankers:   Helicopters: Total Personnel: 200+                  
Current Situation: Significant rain stopped the forward rate of the fire around 2am. Downed power lines and venting propane tanks make re-entry for residents dangerous
Evacuations:  Town of Paradise and Town of Swall Meadows under mandatory evacuation    
Evacuation Centers:  Crawley Lake Community Center
Cooperating Agencies: CAL FIRE,  Inyo USFS, Paradise Fire Dept., Inyo County Sheriff, Mono County Sheriff, CHP, LADWP, BSHOP Fire, Big Pine Fire, Independence Fire, Lone Pine Fire, Long Valley Fire, Wheeler Crest Fire, Edison and CDC       
Additional Information:   Possible escorted re-entry for residents tomorrow afternoon or evening
