About Me: Hi there! I’m Sarah Bell, a 36-year-old mother of two who has called the Sierra Nevada her home for the past decade. I’m a passionate outdoor enthusiast, a loving wife, and a dedicated mom, and I believe in living a life filled with adventure and health. When I’m not writing for Sierra Rec Magazine, you can find me exploring the great outdoors with my girlfriends and my amazing husband, enjoying all four stunning seasons that the Sierra Nevada has to offer.
Outdoor Adventures: During the summer and fall seasons, you’ll often find me hiking and backpacking in the breathtaking Sierra backcountry. I can’t resist the lure of pristine alpine lakes and the scent of pine trees on the trail. The crunch of leaves beneath my boots and the vivid tapestry of autumn colors in the Sierra are pure magic. In the winter, I swap my hiking boots for skis and snowshoes. There’s something truly special about gliding down snow-covered slopes or trudging through powdery snow while taking in the serene beauty of the winter landscape.
Healthy Living: Fitness and a balanced diet are essential components of my lifestyle. I’m a firm believer in taking care of my body, not only for myself but as an example to my family. We often engage in family hikes, ski trips, and outdoor adventures, ensuring that my children grow up appreciating the beauty of nature and the benefits of an active life.
Writing for Sierra Rec Magazine: I’m excited to be a part of the Sierra Rec Magazine team, where I can combine my love for the Sierra Nevada with my passion for writing. Through my articles, I hope to inspire other outdoor enthusiasts, parents, and adventure seekers to make the most of their time in this beautiful region.
