Mike Mullen

I’m Mike Mullin, a lifelong mountain enthusiast with a deep-rooted connection to the Sierra Nevada. Born and raised in Tahoe City, the mountains have always been my sanctuary. My passion project is documenting the breathtaking beauty of Yosemite’s lakes. I believe this is the first comprehensive attempt to photograph all 167 named lakes within the park. It’s a labor of love, and I hope these images inspire others to slow down, appreciate nature, and find their own peace in the wilderness. I've previously completed a similar project in Desolation Wilderness, capturing all 89 named lakes for a book. That experience fueled my desire to undertake this even more ambitious endeavor in Yosemite.
