Lake Tahoe Summit Returns August 6, 2025 — Senator Schiff to Host Event Honoring Dianne Feinstein’s Legacy
South Lake Tahoe, CA — The 29th annual Lake Tahoe Summit is set to take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. PT at Valhalla Tahoe, one of the region’s most cherished historic venues and a personal favorite of the late Senator Dianne Feinstein. This year’s theme, “Protecting Lake Tahoe: Balancing Sustainable Recreation and Conservation,” brings together policymakers, tribal leaders, conservationists, and outdoor recreation advocates to address the future of the Tahoe Basin.

U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) will host the summit for the first time, stepping into the role long held by Senator Feinstein, who co-founded the event in 1997 with Senator Harry Reid (D-NV). The Summit will also feature a keynote address by Jeremy Renner, local Lake Tahoe resident and Academy Award-nominated actor.
“I am deeply honored to host the Lake Tahoe Summit this year,” said Senator Schiff. “Senator Feinstein was a steadfast champion of this lake, and I look forward to continuing her work to protect one of the most iconic natural treasures in the West.”
Schiff, a longtime advocate for public lands and environmental protection, recently introduced legislation to expand the Rim of the Valley Corridor in Southern California. His involvement in preserving Lake Tahoe aligns with a career focused on safeguarding open space, clean water, and access to nature.
