Kirkwood Summer Festival and Live Concerts Highlight a Great Weekend in California’s Secret Adventure Capital
Alpine County California – June 28, 2022 – – July Fourth weekend is shaping up to be a great weekend to be outdoors with the family, and one of California’s best recreational hideaways is set for an epic weekend of live music and outdoor adventure. Campgrounds will be full, the river banks will be teaming with fisherman and the highways will certainly be littered with bicyclists but the festivities will be active in every corner of the county.
Here is a quick glimpse of the events and festivities if you find yourself in Kirkwood, Markleville or the rest of Alpine county this weekend. Friday
Live Music at Cutthroat Brewing Company – Friday Night
Every Friday evening come out to the Cutthroat to enjoy live music, cold beverages, and delicious food.

07/02/22 Free Fishing Days
CDFW offers 2 free fishing days a year. Saturday, July 2nd, and Saturday, September 3rd. On free fishing days, you can fish without a sport fishing license. Visit CDFW for more information.

Enjoy live music on Friday night, July 1 from 4-7 pm. Live this weekend Whisky and the Wolves
Then, on July 2nd and 3rd, enjoy scenic chair 6 rides and hiking access from 10am – 4pm. 07/02 – 07/04 4th of July Festivities at Carson River Resort
