A fast Moving Weather Pattern that Prompted Freeze watch across the Sierra delivers a layer of white at Palisades Tahoe

A little flutter of excitement this morning as I opened my eyes to a mountain sporting a thin white veil. Of course, it is not enough coverage to begin skiing, but it did get the juices flowing.

The weather forecast again calls for a frost warning for much of the Sierra tonight before warming again for the weekend ahead. Weather in Lake Tahoe this weekend expected to be in the mid sixties with mostly sunny skies. As with all fall weather patterns in the Sierra nighttime lows in the 30’s with possible surprise weather patterns in isolated locations are normal.
