EID’s Highway 88/Project 184 recreation facilities update: Caples Lake boat launch and auxiliary dam now OPEN. Silver Lake boat launch, day-use facilities, and Silver Lake West Campground remain CLOSED.
Caples Lake Ca. – june 23, 2023 – After a long extended winter closure due to record breaking snowfall received in 2023, Caples Lake is finally free of ice and snow. The boat launch and day-use area are fully OPEN!
Silver Lake boat launch remains CLOSED, but is anticipated to open early next week.
Silver Lake West Campground is CLOSED. The campground experienced significant damage and there are many hazard trees that need to be cleared. Crews are working on cleanup, maintenance, and repairs. We DO NOT have an opening date at this time.
Woods Creek fishing access is CLOSED, there is still snow just past the parking area.
