Here’s the exciting part: the Woodfords and Camp Connell crews are making serious headway. They’re just miles apart, steadily clearing the route towards that glorious mountain pass opening. Caltrans anticipates welcoming us back to Ebbetts Pass in the coming weeks, but they can’t give us an exact date just yet.
In the meantime, stay tuned for weekly updates! We’ll keep you posted on the progress, and you can always check the latest road conditions on Quickmap.dot.ca.gov or by calling the Caltrans Road Condition Hotline at 1-800-427-ROAD.
One last thing: even when the pass opens, be sure to drive cautiously. Those Sierra mornings can get icy, so pack your patience and enjoy the stunning scenery. We’ll see you on Ebbetts Pass soon, Sierra fam!
