Mammoth Ca – August 2015 – It is that time of year once again. Final Summer trips with the family, final summer parties with your friends, time for one last campout, one last summer adventure to the lake etc…
Mammoth is popular destination in the Sierra, its diverse landscapes, great mountain lakes, challenging trials and access points to so many adventures. Â So what does Mammoth have in store for us this summer for a last gasp, before the fall colors explode.
How about  a little wine, and little Rock, a big challenge and an even bigger full moon party. Starting this week in Mammoth the festivities will be celebrating the last days of summer like only they can.
Aug 14-16 Â Mammoth Wine Weekend. Â A weekend of wining and dining. Wine Walks, exclusive Winemaker dinners, and a Sunday Champagne Brunch.
Aug 21-22 Â Enjoy Mammoth Rocks & Taste of the Sierra. The best Cover Bands and Local Eateries showcasing their Summer Bests.
Aug. 29th – The Annual Ezakimak 11,053 Bike/Run Challenge. How about an uphill, moonlight 5 k challenge to see how summer has treated your fitness level? Go from Base to summit anyway you can following the Kamikaze trail.
August 29th – If you make it to the top of the mountain, the end off summer party will be waiting. A unique summer experience at the summit of Mammoth Mountain. Ok if you choose not to do the challenge, you can take the chair lift to the top of the mountain, watch the Sunset and the Full Moon rise. Then join in the festivities of the night including a glow walk to the lake basin overlook.
The kids may be heading back to school but summer is long from over in the Sierra. Get your last summer visits in starting this weekend.
