Outdoor Vitals’ Spring/Summer 2022 Line Highlights the Brand’s Commitment to Designing Performance Gear for the Backcountry

The upcoming new products highlight Outdoor Vitals’ commitment to crafting apparel and equipment ideal for backcountry travel.
New apparel pieces include:
- The Tern Ultralight Merino Wool Shirts are some of the lightest weight performance wool tops available. Available in a short sleeve and long sleeve hooded option, the shirts have a 115 gram weight and use NuYarn technology to create an advanced fabric that is lightweight, odor-resistant, and breathable. Nuyarn is a spinning technology that releases the performance characteristics of wool fiber, allowing for wool’s natural abilities in moisture management and thermoregulation to be fully realized. Both shirts have an ample amount of stretch, a UPF rating of 36+, true flat-felled seams, and raglan sleeves. The tops are ideal for summer outings and make for great baselayers during the winter months. The t-shirt is priced at $59.95 and the hooded long-sleeve has an MSRP of $84.95. - The $225 Tushar Rain Jacket is a 7-ounce full featured waterproof layer constructed using body-mapped membrane technology that increases breathability without sacrificing protection. The jacket utilizes Toray Torain 3D 2.5-layer waterproof breathable lamination technology with a 20D micro-ripstop nylon face fabric with mapped membrane application. The Tushar comes equipped with Torain specific seam tape, which is designed for long-term durability and can handle harsh wash cycles. The jacket also uses a material with a higher waterproof rating in the areas that receive the most pressure and a more breathable fabric in areas where the waterproof rating is not as paramount. Pit zips help with breathability and temperature regulation, allowing users to keep the jacket on when temperatures rise. The interior fabric features a 3D printed texture, which helps hold the membrane off the skin for added comfort and durability. This carefully constructed jacket will be released in August of 2022.
- The Altitude Sun Hoodie is another lightweight piece that is new for this spring and summer. The hoodie weighs in at a mere 4 ounces and is made from a highly breathable synthetic fabric that quickly wicks moisture away from the skin as temperatures rise. The $49 lightweight top dries quickly and is a fantastic option for outdoor pursuits in the summer months. The Altitude Sun Hoodie will be available in July of 2022.

On the equipment side, Outdoor Vitals is releasing the Fortius Trekking Pole tent, an intelligently designed lightweight shelter designed to meet the needs of hikers and backpackers.
The Fortius Trekking Pole Tent is a storm-worthy ultralight tent that uses more durable fabrics than many of the options on the market. The tent has an incredible amount of functional space and utilizes a design that does not force the user’s head into one end. Outdoor Vitals uses innovative materials in the Fortius to ensure that it is sturdy enough to handle high wind conditions, heavy rain, and snow. The 15D sil/PU micro-ripstop nylon has a waterproof rating of 1,500mm HH and the bathtub floor keeps ground runoff from entering the tent during a downpour. The $275 one-person version of the Fortius comes in at a mere 1.6 pounds. The $325 two-person iteration weighs just 2.25 pounds. These tents will be available for purchase in August of 2022.
