On Saturday, December 16th travel to Mammoth for the Night of Lights. A one-of-a-kind evening at Canyon Lodge to welcome the holiday season. Night of Lights is an FREE fun-filled night for all ages with live music, torchlight parade, kids activities, snowmobiles rides and a firework spectacular that lights up the Sierra sky.
Event Schedule
Saturday, December 16
4:30–6:30 PM Indoor & Outdoor Family Activities
Includes snowmobile rides, sledding hill, Woolly’s Igloo, face painting
5 PM Evening festivities begin and food concessions open
5–8 PM Rooftop Viewing Area and Family Club Room open (these are paid ticketed areas)
5:30–6:45 PM Live music on the outdoor stage
5:15 PM Magic Show, indoors 3rd-floor ticket lobby
6:45 PM Night of Lights presented by the Southern California Ford Dealers
7:30 PM On-snow after party and live music
7:30 PM Photos with Santa & Woolly, 3rd-floor ticket lobby
10 PM Last gondola ride to The Village
This event is a very popular event so planning for parking and travel to the right places on the mountain are important.
Limited parking is available at Canyon Lodge, all event-goers are encouraged to use free public transportation to get to and from the Night of Lights.
The Village Gondola
The gondola will run until 10 PM from The Village Plaza to Canyon Lodge. This option is best for guests staying in or near The Village. Paid parking is available in the parking lot across from The Village.
Special Event Shuttle & Town Trolley
Routes are available for the evening for guests staying at various in-town locations. View the Night of Lights program (below) for a detailed map and schedule.
Park & Ride
Locations will be set up at the Mammoth High School and Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge. Shuttle buses will run between these locations and Canyon Lodge for the evening. Download a copy of the Night of Lights program (below) for a detailed map and schedule.
