After more than a year of lockdowns, social distancing and little reason to celebrate, the world is returning to a bit of normalcy and the High Sierra Communities is ready to celebrate. The events and festivals California and Nevada is known for are back and ready to wow locals and tourists in October!

Murrieta Craft Beer Week – Oct. 11-17

Temecula Valley might be known for wine, but its growing craft brewing culture will be celebrated Oct. 11-17, 2021 in Murrieta. Throughout Craft Beer Week, Temecula’s 11 artisan brewers, along with the best breweries in the region, will offer the coolest craft concoctions in California.

Apple Hill™

Apple Hill Ca – We’ve made it easier than ever to enjoy what has become an annual pilgrimage for families in our region, the Bay Area, Nevada, and beyond. What are you waiting for? Apple Hill™ is known for its apple farms and family-friendly activities in the fall. Comprised of more than 50 ranches, the Apple Hill Growers Association (Apple Hill™ ) provides farm fresh fruit and vegetables, baked and canned goods, and crafts and entertainment. Most of the Apple Farms open their doors Labor Day weekend through December. But the rest of year you can find unique agricultural adventures and locally grown products down these bountiful backroads. Christmas Tree farms usually open Thanksgiving weekend but a few will open the week before. In the spring and summer berry farms and lavender farms open their doors. Wineries are open year round.

18th Annual Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop – Oct 2

Truckee Ca – Since 2003, the Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop has been regarded as one of Truckee’s leading annual events, held this year from noon to 4:00 p.m.

This annual event brings nearly 1,000 local and visiting participants to sip wine and sample local food tastings while enjoying shopping in historic downtown Truckee. Over the past 17 years, we have donated more than $35,000 to local non-profit organizations. The Great Italian Festival – Oct 9-10

Reno NV – Everyone’s Italian when THE ROW brings the Great Italian Festival back to downtown Reno this October. For the 39th year, experience the flavors, sounds and style of Italy right in the heart of The Biggest Little City during the Great Italian Festival from Oct. 9-10. Experience a festival unlike any other, as guests celebrate the Italian culture, traditions, and of course, cuisine. The fun-filled weekend will feature homemade Italian food, live entertainment, artisan shopping, family-friendly competitions and more. The free event will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10.

The 2020 Nevada Day Parade and other festivities are on Saturday, October 31.
