Discover Yosemite Valley:

  1. Lower Yosemite Falls Loop: Immerse yourself in the misty embrace of Lower Yosemite Falls with this leisurely 1-mile loop, offering awe-inspiring views of one of Yosemite’s most iconic waterfalls. Also options to connect to the Valley Loop trail or take the back route to the Mirror Lakes area.
  2. Bridalveil Fall Trail: Embark on a brief 0.5-mile journey to the base of Bridalveil Fall, a quintessential Yosemite landmark, where cascading waters create a mesmerizing spectacle against the granite cliffs.
  3. Cook’s Meadow Loop: Wander through picturesque meadows on this gentle 1.5-mile loop, providing panoramic vistas of Yosemite Valley’s verdant landscapes and towering cliffs.
  4. Mirror Lake Loop: Experience tranquility along the tranquil banks of Mirror Lake on this 2-mile loop, offering captivating reflections of Yosemite’s majestic peaks.
  5. Yosemite Valley Loop Trail – This 11.5 mile loop around the valley floor. This trail follows many of the Valley’s first east-west trails and wagon roads. It offers a rare opportunity in Yosemite Valley: to hike on a fairly level trail with some solitude. While some of the trail passes near roads, much of it takes you through meadows, talus slopes at the base of the granite cliffs, and near the Merced River. You can access the trail from many places throughout the Valley; however, the mileage and description used here starts at the Lower Yosemite Fall area (follow signs for Valley Loop Trail).

As one of the park’s most beloved trails, Lyell Canyon captivates adventurers with its stunning vistas and diverse ecosystems. We personally love the experience it creates with the Tuolumne river.
