In Lake Tahoe Squaw Valley celebrated Valentines with news that they have passed the 400″ mark for seasonal snow .
Squaw Valley averages 450 inches of pristine snowfall every winter – piled up into fluffy, powdery form all over our wide-open bowls, miles of groomed trails, world-renowned steeps, and manicured terrain parks and pipes.Â
How does that comp[are to years past? On this date last year Squaw Valley had accumulated 124″, and in 2017 they had 484″. So this season definitely compares tot he 2017 season to date. Of Course 2017 we remember it didn’t stop snowing until spring as Squaw that year accumulated over 700″ of snow with the last storm dropping in June. Seasonal Averages at Squaw Valley are 454″ .
I think we can safely say Ski season has just begun….
