OSPREY BACKPACKS STRIPPING ANOTHER POUND OFF LIGHTWEIGHT PACKS
Sierra REc Magazine – Gear – 2023- That is always the goal, correct? How little weight can I carry into the wilderness and still stay comfortable sleeping in the wilderness and traveling safely?
Well, as you prep for the 2023 backpacking season, Osprey has made it easier to shed that last pound. With the introduction of the Atmos/Aura AG LT and Exos/Eja Pro backpack systems that are designed for long trail hikes and maximum comfort.
Technical backpackers will appreciate the minimalist design and stripped-down features in the new Atmos/Aura AG LT. Approximately 10% lighter than the original Atmos/Aura AG, this pack features a streamlined silhouette and Osprey’s body-hugging AntiGravity suspension with a continuous back panel of lightweight mesh to maintain comfort on the trail.
Last summer, I switched to the Exos 58 backpack and loved the lightweight design with a ton of versatility for storing my gear. The Exos Pro takes that pack and lightens the load a full pound, which is incredible advancement.
