Groveland California – May 8, 2023 – Yosemite Valley may be inaccessible from Groveland, but don’t cancel your trip! There are so many fun adventures to be had in Groveland California and the national forest lands outside the Yosemite gates on Highway 120. Last week news broke about Highway 120 being closed for the next several months because of a crack in the highway. Immediately this type of news can negatively effect the small communities that support Yosemite national park tourists each summer.
So when we at Sierra Rec saw posts from Groveland community leaders we wanted to help remind the public that Groveland, Bucks meadows, Hetch Hetchy etc… are still open and makes a great summer family destination.
If you head to Groveland region the next few weeks, you might see a few less cars, because of the closure but you will also find a community with great services and outdoor recreation opportunities. Here is a great list of services and Activities from our friends at @aroundthehornbeer in Groveland.
