Reservations for Camp Richardson’s coveted RV and tent camping sites are now available on Recreation.gov, offering outdoor enthusiasts a chance to secure their perfect spot for May and June 2025. I was a little shocked today when i logged on to reservations.gov to find that there were plenty of camp spaces still available around lake Tahoe for June. While many summer destinations fill up quickly, there’s still ample availability for early-season camping. (seasonal weather permitting)

Looking at the reservations for summer2025 it looks like June is pretty wide open as of January 7th, July weekends are full but week days are open and August still has plenty of availability as well.

- Rv Village Campground At Camp Richardson Resort – The RV Village provides a Lake Tahoe and Camp Richardson Resort experience unlike any other. Featuring beach access, and all the amenities you can think of within walking distance, guests get to bask in the remarkable beauty of Tahoe without sacrificing the resort experience. The campground has 20 Full Hookup RV sites and 78 Water/Electric RV sites. Each RV site has a picnic table, and fire pit with cooking grate. No Pets
- Badgers Den At Camp Richardson Resort – Badger’s Den Campground provides a Lake Tahoe and Camp Richardson Resort experience unlike any other. Featuring beach access, and all the amenities you can think of within walking distance, guests get to bask in the remarkable beauty of Tahoe without sacrificing the resort experience. The campground has 66 single standard tent sites and 18 standard double tent sites. – Only service Dogs, no Pets
- Eagles Nest At Camp Richardson Resort -Eagles Nest Campground provides a Lake Tahoe and Camp Richardson Resort experience unlike any other. Featuring beach access, and all the amenities you can think of within walking distance, guests get to bask in the remarkable beauty of Tahoe without sacrificing the resort experience. The campground has 25 double standard tent sites and 6 standard triple tent sites. Each campsite has a bear-proof food locker, picnic table, and fire pit with cooking grate. Tent camping only in this campground. No RVs allowed. Only service Dogs allowed, no Pets

- William Kent Campground – William Kent Campground is conveniently located on Lake Tahoe’s west shore, a few miles south of Tahoe City. It straddles the highway and features not only a large area in which to camp, but also a day-use area that is popular among visitors.
- Kaspian Campground –Kaspian Campground is located in a mature forest of pine trees overlooking the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Campers will be nestled in a sparse forest of pine trees and evergreen shrubs, just minutes from the bright blue water of Tahoe. The lake and its sandy beaches provides ample recreation opportunities.
- Meeks Bay Resort – NO PETS ARE ALLOWED ANYWHERE AT THE RESORT! Meeks Bay Resort has a long tradition as a family vacation and holiday retreat. It is located on western shore of the famed Lake Tahoe (Da ow aga), far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The Washoe Tribe has been a part of the Meeks Bay area of Lake Tahoe (Da ow aga) for many millennium. Their link to the land is an important part of the Meeks Bay Resort charm. - Kit Carson Camp Ground – Hwy 88 – 30 miles from South Lake Tahoe on silver Lake – Nestled in a forest of Jeffrey pines and aspens, Kit Carson campground is perfect for tent camping and smaller RVs. The west fork of the Carson River is located next to the campground, with several sites right next to the water. Great fishing and views! Kit Carson is exceptionally beautiful in the fall.
