The Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship (SBTS) has unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 event schedule, and it’s packed with incredible opportunities for the biking community to give back, race, and revel in the magic of the Lost Sierra. Whether you’re a seasoned trail builder, a first-time volunteer, or a passionate rider, 2025 promises a full season of dirt, adventure, and community. 2025 Event Highlights

Quincy Mountain Epic
Dates: May 15-18
Location: Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds, Quincy
The Quincy Mountain Epic weekend is growing! This year’s event features two dig day options (Friday and/or Saturday), giving participants even more chances to make a difference. Work on trail maintenance or help build new trails alongside the Pro Trail Crew on Mount Hough. When the work is done, enjoy evenings filled with live music, Epic games, and trail adventures led by locals. Camping under the stars at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds completes the weekend.

Lost & Found Gravel Festival
Dates: June 12-15
Location: Portola City Park
Presented by Cervelo, the Lost & Found Gravel Festival offers riders three unique High Sierra gravel courses—40, 64, and 96 miles—with the long course designed by pro racer Tobin Ortenblad. This event isn’t just for racers; it’s a weekend of fun for all! Riverside camping, live music, food trucks, and kids’ races make it a family-friendly experience. Non-riders can join in as volunteers or simply soak in the festive atmosphere.

Downieville Mountain Epic Weekend
Dates: July 11-13
Location: Packsaddle Campground, Sierra Crest
Spend Saturday digging in the dirt on the legendary Downieville Trail System, then spend Sunday enjoying some of the best trails in the world. Camp at the stunning Packsaddle Campground on the Sierra Crest, connect with fellow trail stewards, and enjoy a weekend of hands-on stewardship and trail fun.

Downieville Classic
Dates: August 7-10
Location: Downieville
The Downieville Classic is back for its 27th year! This iconic weekend includes the Cross Country Race and the All-Mountain World Championships. Beyond the races, the event features Yuba Expeditions shuttles, live music, the famous River Jump and Log Pull, a vendor expo, and much more. Race registration opens Sunday, January 26th, 2025, at 8 p.m. PST, and spots sell out fast. For those who want to join the festivities without racing, volunteer positions are available now.

Mountains to Meadows Endurofest featuring Grinduro!
Dates: September 11-14
Location: Quincy
Grinduro returns to its roots in Quincy to celebrate its 10th anniversary! This ultimate California gravel race combines the perfect ratio of party to race, and this year includes a new MTB and eMTB Enduro event on Mount Hough. Festivities include a handmade bike show, live music, excellent food, and camping. Registration opens on Sunday, March 16th, 2025, so mark your calendars!
