Blessed with more skiable acres than most places on earth the winter ski season in the sierra is an epic ride for locals and visitors a like. Ski resorts literally spring up along the HWY’s in some places with snow totals that can climb upward of over 600 inches in some snow seasons. Add this to the thousands of skiable acres in the Sierra Nevada backcountry or National forest lands, and it is easy to see why the Sierra Nevada is a winter destination for millions.
