2025 Historic Longboard Race Revival Series
Experience Ski Racing Like It’s 1860!

Get ready to step back in time at the Johnsville Historic Ski Bowl, just outside Graeagle, CA! The Historic Longboard Racing Revival Series returns to the Sierra with races held every third Sunday of January, February, and March at noon.

Event Highlights

  • Compete: Test your skills on 9-16′ wooden skis, using authentic “Dope” wax (modern ski wax is strictly prohibited). To truly embrace the spirit of the 1860s, racers are encouraged to don period attire and leather boots.
    • Registration: 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM
    • Drawing Numbers: 11:45 AM
    • Entry Fee: $20 (Ski Club membership required)
  • Rent: Don’t have wooden skis? No problem! The ski club offers a limited number of rentals on a first-come, first-served basis for just $20.
  • Spectate: This family-friendly event features food and drinks, including alcohol, for purchase. A suggested donation is appreciated at the entrance. Enjoy the convenience of shuttles to the ski hill while soaking in the historical charm.
