Tahoe Basin Christmas tree permits sold out!

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif., Nov. 17, 2020 – Christmas tree permits for National Forest lands in the Lake Tahoe Basin sold out today, Nov. 17, 2020. This week, 2,000 online permits were issued on a first-come, first served basis. No additional permits will be authorized for this season.

Nearby Eldorado, Humboldt-Toiyabe and Tahoe national forests are also selling Christmas tree permits online. Check permit availability for these forests at www.recreation.gov.

In addition, Christmas trees may be purchased from private Christmas tree farms in El Dorado, Nevada and Placer counties.
