Sierra Rec Magazine – Gear Intro – March 2022 – Long known for its quality and standards in the backpack community. The future of Osprey backpacks is here. After nearly 50 years of innovations, Osprey started looking beyond traditional manufacturing technologies to develop the ultimate backpacking experience. Osprey, in March, Launched the New UNLTD™ line using several innovative designs that will mark a high watermark for its backpacks that will trickle down to other lines in the years to come.
For now, the Osprey UNLTD comes in two models — the AntiGravity 64and AirScape® 68 — each named for its unique frames and suspension system.
Osprey founder Mike Pfotenhauer worked with the brand’s international innovation team to create these packs from new fabrics and assembly techniques, as well as a 3D-printed lumbar system.

Osprey built the Osprey UNLTD AirScape and AntiGravity for experienced backpackers and thru-hikers who would value the new designs and put the tech through its paces. The back panel framesheets emphasize load stability and ventilation while small tweaks should add durability in high-wear areas.
