One day, my wife, ever the voice of reason and love, saw the struggle in my eyes. “Stop waiting for everyone else, Charlie,” she said. “Go. The mountains are calling.”

She knew. The outdoors had always been my sanctuary, the place where I found peace, inspiration, and a quiet strength. And so, I went. Armed with a backpack and a renewed sense of purpose, I started exploring the Sierra Nevada in earnest.
