The reopening will be a staged affair, allowing park officials to ensure a smooth transition for visitors and continued restoration efforts. Here’s what you can expect:

  • June 10th: The big day arrives! Day use access and wilderness exploration are back on the table. Grab your permit at the Road’s End Permit Station and fuel up on park information at the Visitor Center (open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, June 10th – September 22nd). Need some help conquering the backcountry? The Cedar Grove Pack Station is also ready to serve.

Patience for the Perfect Pitch:

Campers, fret not! While the iconic Sentinel Campground is projected to open no earlier than July 1st as crews tackle storm-related maintenance, the wait won’t be long. Wilderness Awaits:

The call of the wild beckons! Wilderness permits are anticipated to be available starting June 7th. Remember, a number of walk-up permits are available at each trailhead for those who crave a spontaneous adventure.
