Lace up the sneakers and join a fun new event in the foothills of Carson City. The Carson Valley Trail association invites all to the inaugural 5K Trail run at James Lee Park Saturday the 19th.
Trail running enthusiasts and families alike will love the opportunity to participate in the inaugural Run the Valley event hosted by the Carson Valley Trails Association (CVTA). Set for Saturday, October 19, this 5K Trail Run and free 2K Family Fun Run promises a fun-filled, outdoor adventure on the stunning James Lee Loops trails in Indian Hills, just south of Carson City.

The 5K Trail Run, which covers 3.5 miles, is a perfect introduction for beginners while still offering enough challenge for seasoned runners. With mild elevation gain and panoramic views of Carson Valley, the course is non-competitive, allowing participants to enjoy the scenery at their own pace.
For families, the 2K Family Fun Run offers an excellent way to get everyone involved. Off-road strollers and leashed dogs are welcome, so bring the whole family along for a great morning outdoors. Children under 12 can participate in either race for free and receive a finisher’s medal as a keepsake!

Whether you’re an avid runner or looking for a fun family activity, Run the Valley offers a unique way to explore the scenic beauty of Carson Valley’s trails. Sign up today and make memories on the trail!
