Olympic Valley, CA — June 2025 — If you’re a trail runner, a fan of endurance sports, or simply someone who thrives on high-altitude energy and community vibes, Palisades Tahoe is where you want to be this June. For 10 powerful days, Olympic Valley will host an unprecedented trifecta of events that mark a historic moment in mountain sports culture: the Broken Arrow Skyrace, the brand-new TrailCon, and the world-famous Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run.

From June 19 through June 29, this celebrated Sierra resort becomes more than a venue—it becomes the heartbeat of the trail running world.
“This is the kind of energy we live for,” says Patrick Lacey, PR Manager at Palisades Tahoe. “To see runners from all over the world come together right here on our trails, in our village, with our community is something truly special.”
The Event Lineup: A Mountain Stage Like No Other
Broken Arrow Skyrace | June 19–22
Presented by Salomon
One of North America’s premier mountain running festivals, the Broken Arrow Skyrace is more than a race—it’s a cultural phenomenon. With nine course options—from the leg-burning Vertical Kilometer to the rugged 52K Ultra—this four-day event attracts elite athletes, weekend warriors, and first-time trail runners alike.
Expect snowfields, granite ridgelines, alpine climbs, and sweeping Lake Tahoe views. Off the trail, enjoy yoga sessions, mountain film nights, speaker panels, and an electric finish-line party in The Village.

TrailCon | June 24–25
Presented by On
New for 2025, TrailCon is not a race but a trail running festival of ideas. With 20+ panels, demos, brand activations, and over 60 vendors in the outdoor industry, TrailCon brings together athletes, brands, and fans to dive deep into the future of the sport.
Topics range from athlete health to environmental stewardship, gear innovations to community storytelling. The event wraps with the TrailCon Awards presented by Nike ACG, celebrating those pushing the trail running world forward. Best of all? It’s completely free to attend.
Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run | June 28–29
Presented by HOKA
A pilgrimage for endurance runners, the Western States 100 begins right here in Olympic Valley before plunging through the rugged spine of the Sierra Nevada to Auburn, CA.
Since 1974, this has been the most iconic 100-mile trail race on Earth. The emotional energy at the start line—surrounded by cheering fans, crews, and nervous runners—is something every adventure lover should witness at least once.
“Our mountain has always been a place where bold ideas and big adventures come to life,” says Amy Ohran, President & COO of Palisades Tahoe. “We’re honored that this 10-day celebration will unfold right here at our resort.”
