Sly Park Recreation Area is happy to announce that we were able to reopen today, January 10! The park had to close on December 27 as we received heavy snowfall that knocked out power lines and downed trees creating hazardous conditions.

Sly Park Recreation Area is happy to announce that we were able to reopen today, January 10! The park had to close on December 27 as we received heavy snowfall that knocked out power lines and downed trees creating hazardous conditions.

Please note the following snow play rules if you plan to visit:

  • No Sleds, saucers, toboggans, cardboard or other allowed.
  • It is okay to build snow people/animals.
  • It is okay to cross country ski or snowshoe.

We recommend you have a four-wheel drive or snow chains.
