HIGHWAY CLOSED AT LARAMIE STREET IN MARKLEEVILLE

ALPINE COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is performing a full closure of State Route 89 at Laramie Street in Markleeville for slide removal following the recent winter storms.


There is currently no estimated time of opening SR-89. Seek alternate route. Future traffic advisories and social media posts will provide updates.

At this time this closure will limit access to Hangmen’s Bridge, the East Fork of the Carson river, The Hwy 4 Snow Park regions near Silver creek.
