Here’s the scoop: Starting April 13th, you’ll need a reservation to enter the park by car between 5 am and 4 pm on certain dates. But fear not, there’s still plenty of opportunity to experience Yosemite’s magic in 2024!

Daily Reservation Releases Begin!
Starting tomorrow, additional entrance reservations will be released daily at 8 am Pacific Time on go.nps.gov/reserve. These reservations are for arrival dates one week from the release date. So, tomorrow, April 6th, you can snag a reservation for your visit as early as April 13th!
Here’s what you need to know:
- Reservations are expected to go fast, so be prepared to act quickly!
- Create a free go.nps.gov/reserve account beforehand and log in before 8 am Pacific Time.
- Reservations are required on:
- Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (May 27th and June 19th) from April 13th through June 30th.
- Every day from July 1st through August 16th.
- Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (September 2nd and October 14th) from August 17th through October 27th.

Yes, During the Early Spring Season You do not need a reservation for traveling in Yosemite during the Week, so plan a visit Mon-Fri. the other alternative on days that do require a reservation: Take the Bus. There are shuttle locations all around Yosemite and your Yart purchase includes entry into the park.
Also if you have Reservations at any of the following, your Reservation into the Park is already secured:
- Reservation for a Yosemite National Park campground (Upper Pines, Lower Pines, North Pines, Camp 4, Wawona, Bridalveil Creek, Hodgdon Meadow, Crane Flat, Tamarack Flat, White Wolf, Yosemite Creek, or Porcupine Flat. Reservations for campgrounds outside the park do not provide access to Yosemite during peak hours.)
- Reservation for Curry Village, Housekeeping Camp, Yosemite Valley Lodge, The Ahwahnee, Wawona Hotel, White Wolf Lodge, Tuolumne Meadows Lodge, and High Sierra Camps (Glen Aulin, May Lake, and Sunrise)
- Private lodging or vacation rental in Wawona, Yosemite West, or Foresta
