Tickets on sale for 33rd annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry and St Patrick Day Weekend Events in historic Virginia City
Virginia City, Nev. – Nothing says St. Patrick’s Day in northern Nevada like Virginia City’s annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry. Tickets for the un-ball-lievable event as well as the St. Paddy Made Me Do It Saloon Crawl are on sale now with a variety of tasting and experience packages available. In preparation for the event, Virginia City is also seeking applications from interested cooks to compete in the event. Those interested in purchasing individual tickets or tasting packages can purchase online here. Individuals interested in being a cook in the event must apply by Friday, Feb. 16 and can find applications and more information here.
“One of our favorite events of the year is the Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry and we’re inviting those passionate about cooking, whether they are amateurs or experienced chefs, to sign-up as cooks for the event,” said Todd Tuttle, tourism director in Virginia City. “We’re also excited to welcome the community from far and wide to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with us by attending the oyster fry, saloon crawl and parade. This is truly a celebration for the entire family and one you won’t find elsewhere.”
Those interested in attending the event can purchase package tickets for the oyster fry and St. Paddy Made Me Do It Saloon Crawl, while enjoying the St. Patrick’s Day Parade which begins at noon. Tickets for the individual events are also available, ranging from the Bushel of Balls for the oyster fry which guarantees samples of all oysters available to various crawl tickets for those imbibing or serving as designated drivers. The 33rd annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry returns on Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The storied event is accompanied by the St. Paddy Made Me Do It Saloon Crawl from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and the traditional St. Patrick’s Day Parade which begins at noon.
