Gardnerville Freedom 5K Fun Run/Walk and Yankee Doodle Dash
Gardnerville, NV- The Town of Gardnerville and Main Street Gardnerville will host their 3rd annual “Gardnerville Freedom 5K Fun Run/Walk and Yankee Doodle Dash” on July 4th, 7 am – 10 am at Heritage Park; race begins at 8 am. No registration fee required for Veterans and Active Military; however it’s still necessary to fill out registration form. Advance registration by June 18th will guarantee the runner/walker a Freedom 5K commemorative t-shirt. A limited number of t-shirts will be available the day of the event. Come dressed in your best patriotic colors and enjoy a run/walk around Heritage Park, Martin Slough Nature Trail, and Carson Valley Middle School cross-country and running track. The “Yankee Doodle Dash” is an obstacle course free for kids 12 and under. Competitions begin at 8 am. No pre-registration needed. The Carson Valley Lions Club
will host a“Pancake Breakfast” from 8-10 am. The $7 breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, sausage and beverage. (For more information, please see the attached press release.)
